This free PDF to Word converter rebuilds a text-based PDF as an editable Microsoft Word .docx document without uploading your file anywhere. It preserves your text with fonts, bold and italic, headings and spacing, keeps the page size and orientation of each page, embeds the pictures from the PDF, and makes a best-effort attempt at simple tables and two-column layouts. Everything happens on your device. Because PDF is a fixed-layout format and Word reflows text, the result is a close, editable reconstruction — not a pixel-perfect copy.
.docx and open it in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice..docx, not a renamed PDF, HTML or RTF, and never a page screenshot. This is a close reconstruction, not an identical copy. Because Word reflows text, exact positioning is approximated. Complex or heavily designed layouts, borderless or nested tables, and intricate multi-column pages may differ from the original. Fonts may be substituted with the closest match your reader has installed — the tool does not embed the PDF's fonts. Vector graphics, background shapes and decorative elements are generally not carried across. Scanned or photographed PDFs contain pictures of text rather than real text, so there is nothing to extract; converting those to editable words needs OCR, which is not included here. When a page has no readable text, the tool tells you honestly instead of inventing content.
Your PDF is processed locally in your browser and is never uploaded. There is no server processing, no cloud service and no account — the PDF is read, and the Word file with its text and images is built, on your own device, so it is safe to convert private documents. When you close the tab, nothing remains.
