Image Compressor
Compress JPG, PNG and WebP images right in your browser to shrink file size while keeping good quality — your images are never uploaded.
Convert images between JPG, PNG and WebP right in your browser — with quality control and a background colour for transparent images. Your images are never uploaded.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded.
Note: the conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript. With JavaScript off you can read this guide, but the tool controls will not appear.
This tool changes an image's format entirely in your browser, using the browser's own image support — there is no upload and no network request. Convert JPG, PNG and WebP to any of the others, adjust quality for JPG and WebP, and choose a background colour when converting a transparent image to JPG. You see the before and after and the resulting file size before you download.
When you add an image, the browser decodes it and shows its dimensions and size. On convert, the image is drawn onto an off-screen canvas and re-encoded to your chosen format. For JPG output — which has no transparency — the canvas is first filled with your chosen background colour so transparent areas do not turn black. PNG output is lossless, so no quality slider is shown; JPG and WebP use the quality slider to trade file size against detail. Everything is processed in memory, and temporary object URLs are released when you convert again or clear.
Supported formats are JPG, PNG and WebP — the ones browsers reliably handle. Formats such as HEIC, TIFF and camera RAW are not supported because browsers cannot decode them without extra software. Animated GIFs are not accepted (only still images). WebP support depends on your browser. Very large images are guarded against to avoid crashing the page; extremely large files may be refused.
Everything runs locally in your browser. Your images are never uploaded, stored or shared, and the tool makes no network requests.

Remove a solid or near-uniform background from an image in your browser and get a transparent PNG. It uses a local colour-based edge algorithm — not an AI model — and works best on product shots, logos and graphics. Your image is never uploaded.
Generate real, scannable barcodes in your browser — CODE128, EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC-A — with checksum validation. Adjust size and colours, then download PNG or SVG. Nothing is uploaded.
